I’m delighted to announce that Dawn Miller has joined the Coord team this week as the Head of Policy & Partnerships. Dawn will be responsible for working with our city partners to get a deeper understanding of how Coord can help them meet their goals today and in the future. To further our mission to make streets more productive, starting with the curb—she will also promote best practices for curb management, sharing how cities can reimagine their curb space to promote access, safety, and sustainability goals.
Dawn comes to us having just previously served as Chief of Staff at the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), the City agency that oversees New York City's taxi, car service and ride-hailing industries. Her team created the first-ever minimum wage protections for Uber and Lyft drivers, landmark policies to combat congestion and pollution from ride-hailing vehicles, and regulations that have brought best-in-nation access to ride-hailing services for people who use wheelchairs. Dawn previously served as Director of Research and Evaluation at TLC and as a Research Associate at the Urban Institute. She holds a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Government from the University of Virginia.
We are thrilled to have her on the team, as she will help us bring a fresh perspective on how we can best work with cities to help them achieve their top mobility initiatives. Dawn has demonstrated an ability to translate and achieve value-packed initiatives, and we are excited to see what she can do with Coord to help continue connecting the public and private sectors for better mobility.
